HEGS Observation 002 explaining the points where students may eliminate a college during their admission decision journey.

HEGS Observation 002

Pichhliobservation mein maine ek thought share kiya tha:

Students college choose karne se pehle colleges eliminate karte hain.

Lekin uske baad mere mind mein ek aur important question aaya:

Student kisi college ko eliminate exactly kab karta hai?

Kya tab, jab fees zyada dikhti hai?

Kya tab, jab placement convincing nahi lagti?

Kya tab, jab website weak hoti hai?

Ya tab, jab counsellor se baat karne ke baad bhi trust build nahi hota?

Mujhe lagta hai iska answer kisi ek factor mein nahi hai.

Elimination Ek Bada Decision Nahi, Chhote-Chhote Doubts Ka Result Hai

Higher education marketing mein hum aksar student journey ko kuch is tarah dekhte hain:

Ad → Lead → Call → Visit → Admission

Lekin student ki actual journey shayad itni straight nahi hoti.

Imagine karo.

Ek student Instagram par institute ka ad dekhta hai.

Creative achha laga. Click kiya.

Website open ki.

Course mil gaya, lekin placement ka convincing proof nahi mila.

First doubt.

Instagram check kiya.

Campus ke photos hain, events hain, posters hain — lekin actual classroom, labs ya student experience clearly samajh nahi aaya.

Second doubt.

Fees jaanne ke liye inquiry ki.

Call aa gaya, lekin conversation mostly admission lene ke around thi. Student jis specific question ka answer chahta tha, us par clarity kam mili.

Third doubt.

Ab student Google par doosra college search karta hai.

Wahan usse wahi information comparatively easily mil jaati hai jo pehle institute mein missing thi.

Aur शायद यहीं पहला institute quietly eliminate ho gaya.

Institute ko pata bhi nahi chala.

Problem Ye Hai: Institute Sirf Final “No” Dekhta Hai

Marketing dashboard mein humein dikhta hai:

Lead Generated.

Counselling team ko dikhta hai:

Interested / Not Interested / Not Picked / Admission Taken Elsewhere.

Lekin in dono ke beech ek bahut important layer missing ho sakti hai:

Student ka doubt kab start hua?

Agar humein sirf ye pata chale ki student ne admission nahi liya, to information incomplete hai.

Real growth insight shayad ye hai:

Usne humein eliminate kyun kiya — aur kis point par kiya?

Ye difference important hai.

Kyuki agar 100 students mein se bahut se students ek hi point par drop kar rahe hain, to problem necessarily advertising mein nahi hogi.

Problem student journey ke us particular point par ho sakti hai.

Har Student Ka Elimination Trigger Alag Ho Sakta Hai

Ek student ke liye fees deciding factor ho sakti hai.

Dusre ke liye placement.

Kisi parent ke liye distance aur safety.

Kisi student ke liye campus environment.

Kisi ke liye hostel.

Kisi ke liye institute ki online reputation.

Aur kisi ke liye sirf itna:

“Mujhe jo information chahiye thi, wo mujhe confidently nahi mili.”

Isi wajah se mujhe lagta hai ki higher education marketing mein sirf ye poochhna:

“Student interested hai ya nahi?”

kaafi nahi hai.

Better question ho sakta hai:

“Student ko abhi kis cheez par doubt hai?”

Ek Lead Ka Lost Hona Hamesha Marketing Failure Nahi Hota

Suppose Meta campaign ne right geography se right course ke liye student ko institute tak pahucha diya.

Student ne form bhi fill kar diya.

Is point tak marketing ne apna kaam kar diya.

Lekin uske baad agar student:

  • placement proof nahi samajh paya,
  • fees justify nahi kar paya,
  • parents ko convince nahi kar paya,
  • campus ko visualize nahi kar paya,
  • counsellor se required clarity nahi mili,

to lead eventually admission mein convert nahi hogi.

Dashboard mein wo “poor lead” lag sakti hai.

Lekin kya wo actually poor lead thi?

Ya institute student ke doubt ko identify nahi kar paya?

Ye distinction important hai.

Institutes Ko “Elimination Points” Map Karne Chahiye

Mere hisaab se ek institute ko apni admission journey mein ye identify karna chahiye:

Student humein kis-kis point par eliminate kar sakta hai?

For example:

Discovery
→ Kya institute relevant lag raha hai?

Website / Social Proof
→ Kya jo claim kiya ja raha hai, uska proof mil raha hai?

Course Evaluation
→ Kya course student ke career goal se connect ho raha hai?

Fees Evaluation
→ Kya cost ki value understandable hai?

Counselling
→ Kya doubts actually resolve ho rahe hain?

Parent Evaluation
→ Kya parent ke concerns address ho rahe hain?

Campus Visit
→ Kya online expectation aur ground reality match karti hai?

Final Comparison
→ Jab 3 institutes saamne hain, hum eliminate kyun nahi honge?

Ye questions uncomfortable ho sakte hain.

Lekin शायद growth wahi se start hoti hai.

HEGS Growth Insight

Higher education mein sirf conversion points track karna enough nahi ho sakta.

Humein elimination points bhi understand karne honge.

Because every student who does not take admission is not necessarily saying:

“I was never interested.”

Sometimes the student may actually be saying:

“I was interested — until something made the other option feel safer, clearer or more valuable.”

Aur agar institute us “something” ko identify kar le…

to next admission campaign sirf more leads generate nahi karega.

Student journey ko better karega.

My Observation

Institute ko ye jaanne se pehle ki:

“Student ne admission kyun nahi liya?”

shayad ye jaanne ki koshish karni chahiye:

“Student ne humein consider karna kab band kiya?”

Dono questions similar lagte hain.

Lekin unke answers completely different growth decisions de sakte hain.
