HEGS Observation 004 explaining how students compare future outcomes when evaluating colleges.

Pichhli observations ko ek saath dekho.

Observation 001:
Students college choose karne se pehle colleges eliminate karte hain.

Observation 002:
Ye elimination kisi ek reason se nahi, balki multiple doubts ke accumulate honese ho sakta hai.

Observation 003:
College ke claims trust tab build karte hain jab unke peeche believable proofho.

Lekin ab ek aur question hai:

Student jab do colleges compare karta hai, to actually compare kya karta hai?

Kya wo sirf:

  • campus compare karta hai?
  • fees compare karta hai?
  • courses compare karta hai?
  • placement numbers compare karta hai?
  • facilities compare karta hai?

Shayad nahi.

Mujhe lagta hai student ke mind mein ek much bigger comparison chal raha hota hai:

“Agar main yahan jaunga, to mera future kaisa ho sakta hai?”

College Ki Features Se Zyada Future Ka Picture Matter Kar Sakta Hai

Ek institute bolta hai:

“Hamare paas 50+ labs hain.”

Dusra bolta hai:

“Hamare paas 100+ companies ka exposure hai.”

Teesra bolta hai:

“Hamare campus mein modern infrastructure hai.”

Teeno apni jagah strong points communicate kar rahe hain.

Lekin student ke mind mein question ho sakta hai:

“Mere liye iska outcome kya hoga?”

Agar student engineering choose kar raha hai, to wo sirf building nahi dekh raha.

Wo imagine kar raha hai:

Main kya seekhunga?

Kis type ke projects karunga?

Internship milegi?

Placement ka chance kaisa hoga?

Mujhe kis type ka career mil sakta hai?

Aur parent shayad soch raha ho:

“Kya ye decision mere bachche ke liye safe hai?”

Yaani college comparison ke peeche actually future comparison chal sakta hai.

Student “Best College” Nahi, “Best Fit” Dhoondh Raha Ho Sakta Hai

Higher education marketing mein ek common phrase hai:

“Best college.”

Lekin best kis ke liye?

Ek student ke liye expensive private campus best ho sakta hai.

Dusre ke liye affordable option.

Kisi ke liye location important ho sakti hai.

Kisi ke liye placement.

Kisi ke liye specific course.

Kisi ke liye family ke budget ke andar rehna.

Isliye student ka question shayad:

“Which college is best?”

se zyada:

“Which college is right for me?”

ho sakta hai.

Aur ye difference admissions marketing ke liye kaafi important hai.

Same College, Different Students — Different Decision

Imagine karo ek hi institute mein do students aaye.

Student A ka primary concern:

Placement.

Student B ka primary concern:

Fees.

Student C:

Campus life.

Student D:

Distance from home.

Student E:

Specific specialization.

Institute agar sabko same message de:

“We are a leading institution with world-class infrastructure.”

to message technically impressive ho sakta hai.

Lekin kya wo har student ke actual decision question ka answer de raha hai?

Shayad nahi.

Student ko institute ki poori story nahi chahiye.

Usse apne decision ka answer chahiye.

Yahin Personal Relevance Important Ho Jaati Hai

Ek simple example.

Institute ke paas ek beautiful campus hai.

Marketing team ke liye:

Great creative asset.

Student ke liye:

“Mere experience mein iska kya difference padega?”

Institute ke paas 500 recruiters ka number hai.

Marketing ke liye:

Strong proof point.

Student ke liye:

“Mere course ke students ke liye actual opportunity kya hai?”

Institute ke paas modern labs hain.

Marketing ke liye:

Infrastructure USP.

Student ke liye:

“Mujhe in labs mein practically kya karne milega?”

Yaani feature tab powerful banta hai jab student uska personal relevance samajh paata hai.

Comparison Ka Real Battle Website Par Bhi Ho Sakta Hai

Kabhi-kabhi institute ko lagta hai:

“Student hamara campus dekhne ke baad decide karega.”

Lekin student usse pehle hi comparison start kar chuka ho sakta hai.

Ek tab mein College A.

Dusre tab mein College B.

Mobile par College C ka Instagram.

Google par reviews.

Parents ke saath discussion.

Friends se opinions.

YouTube par campus videos.

Counsellor ke saath calls.

Ab student sirf information collect nahi kar raha.

Wo apne options ke possible futures imagine kar raha hai.

Aur isi comparison mein institute eliminate bhi ho sakta hai.

Isi Liye “More Information” Hamesha Better Marketing Nahi Hoti

Agar student ko 25 facilities ki list de di…

Lekin usse ye samajh nahi aaya ki:

“Mere career ke liye iska kya meaning hai?”

to information ka volume badh gaya.

Clarity nahi.

Isi tarah:

100+ recruiters

likhne se better kabhi-kabhi ye explain karna ho sakta hai:

“Is course ke students kis type ke roles ke liye prepare hote hain?”

“Recent students ne kya projects kiye?”

“Internship ka experience kaisa raha?”

“Graduation ke baad possible pathways kya hain?”

Because:

Information answers questions.
Context helps people make decisions.

Parent Aur Student Ka Future Same Nahi Hota

Yahan ek aur interesting layer hai.

Student aur parent same college ko evaluate kar rahe hote hain, lekin unke mental comparisons different ho sakte hain.

Student:

“Mera career kaisa banega?”

Parent:

“Mere bachche ka future secure rahega?”

Student:

“Mujhe exposure milega?”

Parent:

“Fees ke according value milegi?”

Student:

“Campus life kaisi hogi?”

Parent:

“Environment aur safety kaisi hai?”

Agar institute sirf student ko communicate kar raha hai, to parent ke questions unanswered reh sakte hain.

Aur agar sirf parent ko communicate kar raha hai, to student emotionally connect nahi kar sakta.

Admission communication ko dono futures samajhne padte hain.

HEGS Growth Insight

Mujhe lagta hai higher education marketing mein feature marketing se future marketing ki taraf shift important ho sakta hai.

Feature marketing kehta hai:

“Hamare paas kya hai.”

Future marketing poochta hai:

“Student ke liye iska matlab kya ho sakta hai.”

Feature:

Modern Lab

Future context:

“Yahan student ko hands-on projects kaise milenge?”

Feature:

Placement Cell

Future context:

“Students ko placement ke liye kis process se prepare kiya jaata hai?”

Feature:

Industry Exposure

Future context:

“Student ko industry ke real problems ke saath kaise kaam karne ka experience milega?”

Difference chhota lag sakta hai.

Lekin communication ka impact completely different ho sakta hai.

My Observation

Mujhe lagta hai har institute ko apni marketing communication mein ek simple question add karna chahiye:

“Agar student hamari website band karke kisi doosre college ki website kholta hai, to wo actually kya compare kar raha hai?”

Sirf fees?

Sirf campus?

Sirf placement?

Ya phir:

“Mere liye better future kis option mein dikh raha hai?”

Agar answer second wala hai…

to shayad institute ko apni marketing mein college ki features dikhane se pehle student ka future clearly dikhana chahiye.

Because sometimes:

Students don't choose the college with the most features.

They choose the option whose future they can understand and believe in.
